Located on University Drive just south of Southgate Blvd. in Tamarac, Pangea Marketplace boasts 60,000 square feet of space and merchandise from all over the world. Shoppers will be able to spend an afternoon enjoying the teas of China, the gemstones of South America, artwork, handbags, leather goods, jewelry, hair accessories, candles, and clothing from Africa,

Europe, the Far East, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, a farmer’s market and all the bargains to be found on New York’s famed Canal Street.

If you’re looking for something unique, check out the clothing, jewelry, vintage toys, Barbie dolls, collectibles, home furnishings and more. Pangea has something for everyone on your holiday list, and with affordable price tags. Celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa at Pangea Marketplace, where shopping will be filled with holiday joy.

The Florida Special Arts Center, which calls Pangea “home,” has merchandise including items crafted by hand by people with developmental disabilities, along with other products such as the popular ScentsAbility Candles (www.scentsability.com), Sweet Petals Chocolates, Kathy’s Kidz Creations and more.

In addition to the unique concept of international fare, entertainment is an integral component at Pangea, including belly dancers, street performers, dance troupes, puppet shows and more, all geared to round out the shopping experience.

Pangea presents a “Florida’s Got Talent” contest every Saturday. This fun American Idol-style talent contest features community performers. Pangea Judges will
determine the winners each week and every 4th Saturday, the winners will compete against each other. Comedienne extraordinaire, Leah Lu will host the fun fest. The weekly prizes are $50 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd and 3rd place. Each month, grand prize winners will receive $200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place and $50 for 3rd place.

Pangea Marketplace food court is a step above the rest, offering tasty dishes such as sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, salads, soft drinks, teas, coffees, smoothies, desserts and ethnic Mediterranean dishes by The Magician Chef.

Pangea Marketplace is located at 8399 North University Drive in Tamarac and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and from 11 AM to 7 PM on Sundays. Parking is free and abundant!
