University of Warwick Science Park company Rivo expand

2009-11-11 13:00:42 - A Warwickshire company has seen its workforce increase ten-fold after enjoying incredible success since it was established just four years ago.

Rivo Software, based at the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre, supplies web-based health and safety software to a host of well known organisations.
The software allows large operations to efficiently monitor and tackle safety, health and environmental risks.
The business works with a wide range of national and globally recognisable brands including the Red Bull Formula One Racing Team,

City Link, Focus DIY, Thames Water and the Natural History Museum.
After setting-up at the Gallows Hill site with a team of just three people in 2005, the company now employs over 30 members of staff and distributes its products to 64 countries in 11 different languages.
Simon Hook, managing director of Rivo Software, said the ability to adapt was a key factor behind the company’s success.
He said: “The fact that we can tailor the software to suit the needs of individual companies makes us attractive to large and international organisations.
“This is a market that should continue to grow as more and more legislation comes in and, as the industry grows, we will be looking to follow suit.
“In the start up phase we only required space for three people but we knew that we would grow the business and need more space.
“The science park has been flexible in terms of the facilities it provides so it has proved to be an ideal venue for us.”
John Barnes, centre manager for the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre, said: “It is fantastic to see what Rivo Software has achieved in such a short space of time.
