MaxLinear Names A.J. "Bert" Moyer to Board of Directors Semiconductor Industry Veteran to Serve as Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman

CARLSBAD, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/10/09 -- MaxLinear Inc : www.maxlinear.com ., a leading provider of radio-frequency (RF) & mixed-signal IC solutions for broadband communications applications, today announced that A.J. "Bert" Moyer has been elected to MaxLinear's board of directors and will also serve as the chairman of the company's audit committee.



Moyer also serves on the board of directors of CalAmp Corp., Virco Manufacturing Corp., LaserCard Corp., and Occam Networks, Inc. Mr. Moyer brings to the board of directors extensive financial and operational experience in a wide range of industries. During his career, Mr. Moyer has served, among other executive positions, as Chief Financial Officer of Allergan, Inc., Western Digital Corporation, and National Semiconductor Corporation.



Moyer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at the University of Texas, Austin.
