CAEN, FRANCE -- (Marketwire) -- 11/10/09 -- Please be advised that the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and Federal Interlocutor for Metis and Non-Status Indians, will honour Metis veterans at the unveiling of a Red River Cart at the Juno Beach Centre in Caen, France on Remembrance Day, November 11, 2009. At this special commemorative ceremony, he will be joined by Mr. Clement Chartier, the President of the Metis National Council (MNC), and Mr. David Chartrand the Minister of Veterans Affairs for the MNC. A Metis youth group, St. Ambroise Youth Steppers, will be performing a traditional Metis dance.
