Tokyo, Nov 10, 2009 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu Limited and Fujitsu System Solutions Limited today announced the launch of the SaaS edition of "WebSERVE smart e-COMMERCE," which provides customers with an online ordering environment. The new service is now available in Japan.
This service alleviates the manual operations involved with sending faxes or e-mails due to incompatibilities between commerce
systems and customer ICT systems. It enables customers to quickly implement online commerce systems that will allow them to respond to their clients in a timely manner.
Furthermore, Fujitsu and Fujitsu System Solutions will provide maintenance support from their jointly operated SaaS center, thereby relieving customers from having to manage their system operations on their own.
Background
With the widespread popularity of the Internet in recent years, many companies aim to increase the efficiency and speed of their business processes by employing Web interfaces and shared electronic formats for commerce systems that handle placing and accepting orders. Nonetheless, many commerce systems in use today are forced to rely on e-mail or fax communications for orders due to incompatibilities with customer system environments and the inability to link systems. Companies finding themselves in this situation have been searching for a way to eliminate the manual work involved with handling orders to allow them to quickly conduct transactions with large numbers of customers.
Fujitsu and Fujitsu System Solutions are offering this SaaS commerce service to address this issue.
Service Features
1.Makes business processes visual and supports compliance functions
Making transaction data visible greatly reduces the work involved with handling customer inquiries. By shifting verbal or fax transactions online, clients can reduce the number of operations involved in handling a transaction, allowing businesses to be more productive.
2.Flexible fee system and support for user-customization(1)
Customers can keep their monthly costs low by paying only for the required number of user IDs and transaction volumes. Users can easily update on-screen titles and field names to suit their commercial needs without having any specialized technical background.
3.Avoids excessive system investments
The system works on any Internet-connected PC running Windows XP or Vista, and Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0. With access to information on out-of-stock items derived from transaction data, the system can also help minimize lost sales opportunities.
