Randstad Launches Diversa – A New Diverse Staffing Supplier

2009-10-21 15:47:01 -

Randstad and Integrated Human Capital (IHC), a minority, woman-owned certified staffing firm, have launched a new diverse supplier joint venture called Diversa. Set to make its formal debut during this month’s National Minority Supplier Development Council Conference and Business Opportunity Fair in New Orleans, Diversa was formed to better meet companies’ growing demands for a more diverse workforce.

As a minority-owned

and certified staffing business, Diversa combines Randstad’s global resources with the local market understanding and delivery of IHC. The joint venture offers a unique combination of staffing solutions, managed services and human resources consulting, delivering more comprehensive solutions for companies focused on creating competitive advantage through a more diverse workforce.

“At Randstad, we have seen more companies coming to us for help in accessing diverse talent,” said Gregory A. Netland, executive board member of Randstad Holding nv, parent company of Randstad. “The face of our workforce is rapidly changing as companies, cultures and economies continue to merge into one. Diversa was created to help companies evolve their businesses in response to this changing workforce.”

Randstad and IHC began working together more than five years ago through Randstad’s affiliate vendor program. While focused on mentoring and helping to expand IHC’s reach, the two organizations expanded the relationship to include a platform of products and services designed to offer a broader portfolio of products and services to each other’s clients. With the parallel goal of delivering greater opportunities to minority job seekers, the idea for the Diversa partnership was born.

Diversa is based out of El Paso, Texas and is lead by Rosa Santana, who founded IHC in 2002, and serves as chief executive officer of the joint venture. Amalia Moses, who most recently served as area vice president of Randstad Inhouse Services Division, serves as managing director.

Ms. Santana brought Diversa to life when she approached Randstad about solidifying their partnership. “Randstad’s entrepreneurial and community-focused culture has enabled us to successfully create this partnership,” she said. “It also demonstrates how powerful the link between global companies and minority-owned businesses can be,” said Santana. “Both Randstad and IHC will benefit from the Diversa joint venture by introducing an innovative solution to meet our clients’ requests for more help to better manage their contingent workforce spend in an increasingly diverse global marketplace.”

In addition to benefiting their clients, Diversa also will focus on giving back to the communities where it operates. Its first community relations initiative kicks off during the National Minority Supplier Development Council Conference. For every visitor to Diversa’s exhibit booth, the organization will donate $1 to the Make It Right Foundation, a philanthropic endeavor spearheaded by Brad Pitt to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina which ravaged New Orleans in 2005.
