New Marketing Director for iWantGreatCare.org

2009-09-10 18:21:58 - iWantGreatCare.org, the healthcare rate and review service, has appointed Michael Barker as Marketing and Sales Director. He will be responsible for engaging and building relationships with the management teams within organisations including Strategic Health Authorities and Primary Care Trusts throughout the UK.

iWantGreatCare.org was launched in June 2008 and is the first and only service in the UK capable of capturing vast amounts of real-time, continuous and comparative patient feedback at the level of the individual clinician and thus providing healthcare organisations with vital information to help them improve the level of care their organisation provides. It gives patients, parents and carers

the information they need to play a far more active, informed role in managing their health and that of their families.

Barker joins the organisation at an exciting stage in its development. Since launch, the website has gathered feedback from thousands of patients. The next stage is to engage healthcare organisations to integrate real-time, continuous and comparative patient experience information into their quality programmes.

Barker has an extensive clinical background as a consultant physiotherapist in critical care and since completing an MBA at Imperial College, has spent the last eight years developing and implementing patient focused marketing and sales strategies for a variety of healthcare organisations. He has significant experience in building and managing teams to deliver substantial DoH and NHS tenders with contract values of up to £200 million. He is particularly skilled at change management, whilst maintaining highest quality and governance frameworks.
