SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) - Customs officers in Bulgaria say they have seized a shipment of liquid cocaine disguised as wine.
The nation's Customs Agency reports that 714 liters (188 gallons) of liquid cocaine concentrate was hidden in 1,020 wine bottles found during a search of a ship at the Bulgarian port of Varna.
The seizure was made Friday at the conclusion of six month joint operation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
The illegal shipment has been loaded in Bolivia and eventually reloaded on an Europe-bound ship in the Chilean port city of Arica, the agency said in a statement.
The potential value of the drug was not disclosed.
