Bordeaux signs Jaroslav Plasil from Osasuna

BORDEAUX, France (AP) - Bordeaux has signed Czech Republic midfielder Jaroslav Plasil from Osasuna on a four-year contract, the French champion said on Thursday.
Bordeaux, which has sold winger Gabriel Obertan to Manchester United, beat Marseille to Plasil's signature.
Formerly with Monaco, the 27-year-old Plasil scored eight goals in 66 league games during two seasons in Spain with Osasuna.
Plasil, who has played 47 games for his country, had two years left on his contract with Osasuna but wanted a new challenge.
«I could have stayed in Spain, but my wish was to join a team playing in the Champions League,» Plasil said. «I also wanted to join a team which could enable me to win titles. I think that with Bordeaux it's more than possible.
