Siena neighborhood of Tartuca wins Palio

SIENA, Italy (AP) - Giuseppe «Gingillo» Zedde rode Gia Del Menhir to victory in the Palio bareback horse race around Siena's main piazza on Thursday, giving his Tartuca neighborhood its first Palio victory since 2004.
The annual race pits Siena's 17 neighborhoods against one another and is a major tourist draw for this Tuscan city.
