Weyerhaeuser Receives Best of Show Award at NIRI Seattle’s Investor Communications Awards Gala

The Seattle Chapter : cts.businesswire.com/ct/CT?id=smartlink&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww .. of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) announced today that Weyerhaeuser’s 2008 annual report won “Best of Show” at the Investor Communications Awards Gala held June 25.

Companies from throughout the Northwest submitted annual reports, investor Web sites, annual reports on Form 10-K, and corporate social responsibility reports for consideration. Weyerhaeuser also won awards for best annual report: financial presentation and best investor Web site in addition to best of show. Itron’s annual report was recognized for best overall design. Starbucks received top honors for best corporate social responsibility report, and Alaska Air Group was recognized for best stand-alone 10—K. A new report category this year, “sustainability,” was won by Avista. Avista also won the best annual report: letter/narrative.
