A leading direct response agency brings home Communicator and Videographer Awards, as well as Hermes, Benjamin Franklin, Healthcare Advertising, and
National Mature Media awards — 23 awards in total. WAYNE, Pa. — July 1, 2009 — Warren Hunter, Chairman and CEO of DMW Worldwide LLC (www.dmwdirect.com), announced that the agency and its clients are celebrating a successful awards season, having received 23 coveted honors from the Communicator, Videographer, Hermes Creative, Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association (PDMA), Healthcare Advertising, and National Mature Media awards organizations.
Sponsored by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, the Communicator Awards honored DMW with nine recognitions this year, including four Gold Awards. DMW’s winning entries comprise direct mail campaigns, print ads, self-promotional materials, a microsite, and a vehicle wrap. The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. This year the Communicator Awards received more than 9,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.
DMW went three for three with its entries in the 2009 Videographer Awards competition. Only 14 percent of entries are granted the competition’s top “Award of Excellence” designation, and DMW won two. Health care clients’ TV spots received honors in this international competition designed to recognize excellence in video productions, television commercials/news/programs, and new media. Entries were judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), an organization that consists of several thousand marketing, communication, and video professionals.
DMW was recognized with Hermes Creative Awards for a variety of interactive, design, and promotion work. The agency received two Platinum Awards, three Gold Awards, and an Honorable Mention. Judged by the Association of Marketing and
Communications Professionals, the Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that honors creative professionals involved in the concept; writing; and design of traditional materials, programs, and emerging technologies.
The Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association honored DMW with a Benjamin Franklin Award for Direct Marketing Excellence in the “Direct Mail Solicitation” category for its “Shopping Pass” direct mail package, which was created on behalf of a Philadelphia-area health insurer. The “Benny” competition has been a proud Philadelphia tradition for 36 years. A panel of direct marketing experts from the Direct Marketing Association of Washington judged this year’s submissions and awarded 21 winners and four honorable mentions.
The Healthcare Advertising Awards, organized by the Healthcare Marketing Report, is the oldest, largest, and most respected health care advertising awards competition. Of the more than 3,600 entries received, a national panel of judges bestowed 259 Gold Awards, 251 Silver Awards, and 241 Bronze Awards this season. DMW received two Gold Awards for direct response advertising efforts created for two of its health insurance clients.
Finally, DMW won two National Mature Media Awards for two of its health insurance clients. A Bronze Award was received for a Medicare resource guide mailing and a Merit Award was received for a birthday postcard mailing. Presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, these awards recognize the best materials produced for the 50+ market.
