Hilary Rodman Clintons Accident

2009-07-01 06:49:45 - Even fracturing her right elbow will not deter the right hand of Barak Obama, Hilary Rodham Clinton.

One of Barak Obama’s senior advisers spat out “Hilary Clinton’s a monster,” in March 2008, during the run up to the presidential election. This came after Clinton had bombarded Obama’s lack of experience in foreign affairs.

The group of people who gathered at a recent private dinner party at former Secretary of State Madeline Albright’s Washington home, probably don’t even recall

the incident. Senior diplomats from five previous administrations, were invited to honour the current Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Present were Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, James Baker, Lawrence Eagleburger, Warren Christopher, Albright, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. Only Alexander Haig was missing from the group.

It was unsure if 61 year-old Clinton would continue her scheduled visit to Italy and Greece after undergoing two hours of surgery to her elbow which was fractured in several places. Clinton fell as she headed for her car, in the basement of the State Department. Officials reported Clinton was on her way for a meeting at the White House.

On this occasion Obama may have been kept waiting, but it is not expected that the President’s right hand woman will be deterred from any damage to her right elbow, as she leads the fight for ‘women in high places’, as was witnessed when Clinton was the guest speaker for the Emily List luncheon. Emily List is a 24 year-old organization dedicated to improving the power and presence of women in politics. Emily List was foundered around the same time Clinton entered politics.

Having withstood the Clinton-Lewinsky White House scandal, a presidential impeachment, a failed health reform and survived eight years as First Lady, you can only ponder what really goes on in the State Secretary’s head as she trots one step behind Michelle Obama. One thing is absolutely certain, Hilary Rodham Clinton has no intention of dissolving quietly away. Ellen Malcolm introduced Clinton at the Emily List luncheon as “An exceptional figure in American life and a powerful role model for women for our country and for the world".
