BRASILIA, Brazil (AP) - Brazil's government is warning citizens to avoid traveling to Chile or Argentina as the swine flu pandemic spreads.
Health minister Jose Temporao says that young children, the elderly or any Brazilians with weakened immune systems shouldn't travel to either of the countries.
Brazil is also requiring visitors from Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay to give detailed accounts of their health to immigration officials at all points of entry.
While Brazil has confirmed 240 cases of the virus and no deaths, Argentina has 1,213 cases and Chile has 4,315 _ more than any other South American country.
The Argentine and Chilean governments had no immediate reaction to Tuesday's warning.
