Gabon World Cup match postponed to mourn president

ZURICH (AP) - The World Cup qualifying match scheduled Saturday between Gabon and Cameroon has been postponed while the host nation mourns late president Omar Bongo.
FIFA said Tuesday it accepted the Gabon Football Federation's request for a postponement and the game would now be played in Libreville on Sept. 5. The return match, which was scheduled that day, will now be played at Yaounde on Sept. 9.
Gabon leads its group in the final round of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup after winning the first two of its six matches. The group also includes Togo and Morocco.
President Bongo died last week after ruling the oil-rich West African nation for 42 years.
