TBILISI, Georgia (AP) - Hundreds of demonstrators are blocking the street in front of Georgia's parliament as protests demanding the president's resignation enter their second day.
Thousands more are expected to come later Friday to continue the push to force President Mikhail Saakashvili to step down. Thursday's peaceful demonstration in the Georgian capital drew tens of thousands.
The protesters' most bitter criticism is directed at the president's handling of the brief August war with Russia. The Georgian army was humiliated and the country lost territory as separatists and their Russian allies took full control over two breakaway Georgian regions.
No police are visible around the demonstration and they have promised not to intervene.
