Shoshone Silver Appoints Don Rolfe as Vice President

WALLACE, ID -- (Marketwire) -- 03/18/09 -- Shoshone Silver Mining Company (OTCBB: SHSH) is very pleased today to announce the appointment of Don Rolfe as Vice President of the company, effective immediately.



On March 12, 2009, Shoshone held a special Directors' meeting in Wallace, Idaho. At that meeting, the Directors voted unanimously to appoint Mr.
Rolfe as Vice President.



Mr. Rolfe brings

a wealth of knowledge and experience with him. Don is a seasoned mine engineer with over 30 years of industry experience. He has extensive experience with a variety of minerals; including silver, gold, bentonite clay, phosphate, uranium and tungsten, built during his tenure with some of the leading US mining companies, including Anaconda, Hecla, Union Carbide, Homestake, and most recently served as President, and Director of Kimberly Gold Mines, Inc.



Shoshone Silver Mining Company President Lex Smith stated, "Don Rolfe is an excellent addition to our company.
