The royal couple, along with 60 hand-picked guests, will attend a dinner hosted by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation at the National Gallery of Australia in Melbourne. Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Premier John Brumby will be among the guests, and the dinner will be the royal couple's only official engagement while in Melbourne. The pair, along with their children two-year-old Christian and Isabella, 15 months, will arrive in the country on their way home from the Olympic Games in Beijing. The trip has been organised so they can also visit Mary's family in Tasmania. Mary recently spoke of her excitement about returning to her homeland. She said: "A lot of cousins and nephews are looking forward to meeting Isabella for the first time. "I can't wait. It's been quite some time since we've been back in Australia." The couple - who met eight years ago during the Sydney Olympics- last visited Melbourne in November 2006. The princess is the Alannah and Madeline Foundation's international patron.
