Britain's Princess Eugenie has received the highest A-level grades of any member of the royal family. The 18-year-old royal - a pupil at the elite Marlborough College in Wiltshire, England - was told yesterday (14.08.08) she had passed with A grades in Art and English Literature and a B in History of Art. The princess' parents, the Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, said in a joint statement: "We are delighted by Eugenie's achievements. She has worked extremely hard towards these justifiably fantastic results." Eugenie will now reportedly take a gap year, involving travelling and work experience, before going onto university - where it is believed the fashion-conscious teenager may take an Art foundation course. Eugenie and her sister Beatrice - who sat her A-Levels last year and received one A grade and 2 Bs - fared better in their exams than their famous relatives. Prince William received A, B and C grades, while his younger brother, Harry, got one B and one D. Their father, Prince Charles, won a place at the prestigious Cambridge University despite getting one B and one C while his sister, Princess Anne, gained one D and one E. Earlier this year, Eugenie was reprimanded by staff at her £23,000-a-year school after being caught frolicking naked in the grounds with other pupils.
