with ITH - Israeli Test House Ltd. that will enhance access to its advanced in-silicon analysis services for customers in Israel. ITH, located in Migdal, Ha'emek, is Israel's leading supplier of advanced test, reliability and failure analysis services, a market that is estimated to include more than one hundred fabless design centers and VLSI foundries.

The agreement emphasizes the importance of Presto Engineering's in-silicon analysis capabilities, as part of the company's Design Success Analysis(TM) offering. In-silicon analysis includes: emission- and laser-based power, leakage and interconnect characterization, internal timing measurement and focused ion-beam (FIB) circuit edit. With the advance of semiconductor processing technology (especially CMP and multiple interconnect layers) Presto Engineering specializes in backside (silicon-side) utilization, aiming all these techniques available down to the 45nm process node. This requires the specialized equipment and expertise available from Presto, which has historically been difficult to justify and maintain in-house for most fabless semiconductor companies.
