PanIIT is pleased to announce that Mr. Aneesh Chopra, the first Chief Technology Officer of the US and Associate Director for Technology in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, will be a keynote speaker at the 2009 Global Conference to be held in Chicago from October 9-11, 2009.
“Mr. Chopra's presence at the conference will underline the strong commitment of the Obama Administration for nurturing innovation as the engine of growth for the US and indeed the global economy," said Ray Mehra, Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
The panels and workshops at the PanIIT 2009 Conference will cover many topics that are aligned with Mr. Chopra’s goal of harnessing private market opportunities in support of public priorities. Attendees will get to
meet the nation’s CTO in person and learn how he plans to help build a next-generation digital infrastructure and drive innovation through policy.
The PanIIT Global Conference 2009 will focus on the theme of “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Global Economy.” The conference will bring together a diverse group of thought leaders from industry, academia and government, including alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, to address challenges and opportunities in key industries such as Alternative Energy, Healthcare, Digital Infrastructure and Climate Change. The conference agenda includes numerous informative workshops and panel discussions on current topics, and extensive networking opportunities to meet with technologists, investors, academics and entrepreneurs.
