Pratt & Whitney Canada's Latest Generation PT6C-67C Engine Deliveries Reach 1,000 for AgustaWestland P&WC overall helicopter engine deliveries have more than tripled over the last decade

HELI-EXPO, DALLAS, TEXAS -- (Marketwire) -- 02/12/12 -- Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) announced today at Helicopter Association International's HELI-EXPO 2012 that it has delivered its 1,000th PT6C-67C : www.pwc.ca/en/engines/pt6c-67c engine to AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).
The PT6C-67C, the latest generation engine in the PT6C turboshaft family, powers the AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter. This family of engines was designed to support the growing medium-class helicopter market, including offshore, law enforcement, VIP transport, emergency medical services, maritime patrol, search and rescue and utility operations. Operating in the 2,000 shaft horsepower class, the engine has quickly distinguished itself for its durability, ease of pilot operation, operating economics and maintenance diagnostics.
