CHANGI, SINGAPORE -- (Marketwire) -- 02/14/12 -- SINGAPORE AIR SHOW - Pratt & Whitney Canada today announced the continued expansion of its customer service capabilities to serve the Asia-Pacific region from its operational hub located in Singapore. The announcement was made today at the 2012 Singapore Air Show. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).
The company is growing its service team to enhance its customer service capabilities in the region with staff located in the same time zone as its customers. The Singapore operation includes 15 new team members, including customer managers and engineers, CFirst : www.pwc.ca/en/service-support/customer-first-centre event managers providing front-line support, and accessories specialists who provide support on the full complement of P&WC engines located in the region. These new employees are co-located with P&WC SEA, P&WC's repair and overhaul facility, opened in 1983, located in the Loyang Industrial Estate next to Singapore's Changi Airport.

Pratt & Whitney Canada has more than 900 customers in the region with some 5600 engines in service. It also operates a Parts Distribution Centre in Singapore to serve the region.
