A first time author, K P K Palat makes an incredible approach to bring before a simple illustration of religious philosophy.
A first time author, K P K Palat makes a commendable approach to bring before us a lucid presentation of religious philosophy. In his attempt to elucidate the subject, he has made use of certain tools like history, philosophy, literature, law and science. The bookish vista that gets opened thereby shows the entire universe as nothing but an exhibition of Divine Energy and the percolation of godly principles into the mundane life of man. The non-traditional approach adopted by the author to explain theistic philosophy lends a charm to the book, making it highly readable.
The book is a must read for those who want to understand the divine heritage, which is common to the entire humanity, in its proper
perspective.
K P K Palat is the pen-name assumed by the author to honour the memory of Palat, his ancestral home. The author is a retired banker. Within the compass of his reading come books ranging from children’s literature to recondite Vedanta philosophy. Owing to his preoccupation with the bank-job, he had to wait until his retirement for giving concrete shape to the literary ideas entertained by him. The present book is the outcome of his first attempt at authorship.
Apart from giving himself up to some literary activity, he has also been actively participating in trekking programmes organized by the Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI). He is also an ardent lover of nature. He has made the best use of all his knowledge and experience in his debut book and is definite of winning the heart of many with his endeavor to explain religion, divine and ethics.
Writing a book was something that the author has not imagined even in his wildest dreams. But then, something in him started prodding towards the fag end of his office-life that instigated him to try his hands in some of the topics that have been close to his heart all this while and that is how his journey as a writer began.
Although the central theme of the book is religious philosophy, the book has come into shape through a process of combination of different strands from five branches of knowledge: history, philosophy, literature, law and science. The intertwining has been done with a view to cut a seemingly different path to reach the crux of theistic philosophy.
He hopes that his book is liked by readers of all ages and his effort is rewarded. He has made all attempts to keep the book as much interesting and informative as possible. Above all, the book will have served its purpose if the divine heritage, which the whole of mankind is heir to, is understood in its proper perspective.
