The author is a Post graduate from Madras University and has studied I.C.W.A from Institute of Cost and Works Accountant, Kolkata. A devout follower of Swami Vivekananda, in 1985 when the ferry services that leads to the Vivekananda Rock in the Bay of Bengal was stooped, he went for a hunger strike. He continued his protest all alone and respite facing atrocities by police. His one man led agitation resulted in resuming of services by the then government. He has a son and a daughter and both of them are currently working and pursuing their M.S. in U.S. His wife is a retired professor of Medical College.
