- Portrush Petroleum Corporation (TSX-V:PSH)(OTCBB:PRRPF) (www.portrushpetroleum.com) wishes to announce that drilling has begun on the Scanio/Sheldon No.11 well in the Mission River property in Texas. The well will be drilled to a total depth of 8,700 feet and is a follow up well to the number ten well that was recently placed on production at a rate

of 550,000 MCF and 21 barrels of oil a day.

The Company expects to drill the number twelve well upon the successful completion of the number eleven. Both wells will be drilled to the Vicksburg formation.

Current production from the Mission River field is approximately 1.6 million cubic feet of gas and 50 barrels of oil/condensate a day. Portrush's share of the revenue is approximately $60,000 per month.

Based on the success of the latest drilling the operator of the Mission River project intends to review any further development of the field as soon as these two wells are completed.
