www.businesswire.com/cgi-bin/mmg.cgi?eid=5701873 - The new digital channel "Hollywood East," goes live today on the web. The "Hollywood East" channel is a product of Plymouth Rock Studios which recently inked a deal with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for usage of the iconic "Hollywood" sign.

"To us, "Hollywood East" represents creativity, and new technology in Massachusetts," says Josh Bethoney, 27, President

of Rock TV Productions. "There are 600,000 college students here in The Commonwealth," says Bethoney. "We want to start bringing together the young, creative minds of the community as well as provide a distribution solution for their talents."

The premiere videos on the channel will come from regional talents. Jodie-Amy Rivera, 24, a former student at the New England Conservatory of Music, is best known on YouTube as the "Venetian Princess". Her recent parody video "Hillary, Be My Best Friend" was featured on Fox News, CNN, and NBC for its ingenuity and receiving over 800,000 viewings in less than two days. "The prospect of having our very own Hollywood of the east coast is a dream come true for me," says Rivera.

Neil Cicierega, 21, and Ryan Murphy, 21, are both Kingston, Massachusetts residents who will debut new videos on the "Hollywood East" channel. Neil is a YouTube phenom for his satirical work. His "Potter Puppet Pals" series has received national attention. Last month, Neil received a YouTube award in the category of Best Comedy for his creation "The Mysterious Ticking Noise" which has had 43 million viewings. "I love this area. Who wants to move to LA, anyway," says Cicierga.

The "Hollywood East" channel will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the construction and development of the state of the art project known as Plymouth Rock Studios. The studio campus is intended to be a symbol of world-class excellence. It will feature the first green, first smart studio that will continue to morph as new technologies are adapted. "We'll have total access throughout the entire process, from the first shovel in the ground to the first time someone yells "Action!" which will be fascinating to our viewers," says Bethoney.
