It was announced : that IMS Health has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by TPG Capital and the CPP Investment Board, with the total value of the transaction to be worth $5.2 billion, including the assumption of debt.
Under the agreement, IMS shareholders will receive $22.00 cash for each IMS common share they own. IMS Health : is the world’s leading provider of market intelligence to the pharmaceutical and health-care stakeholders.


MetLife Inc. (NYSE: MET), $33.19, +$0.49, 1.50%, is trading at a volume of 12.7 million, above its traffic from yesterday of 7.8 million. Unity Life announced : earlier this month that it has acquired approximately 100,000 life and health insurance policies and a small number of group annuity contracts, from its subsidiary, MetLife Canada. The transaction was completed on October 30, upon receipt of approval from Canadian and U.S. regulatory authorities. The company, designs, manufactures and markets a portfolio of semiconductor components that deal with sophisticated electronic systems and products.
