As the leading provider of anesthesia information systems in the United States, Picis solutions are licensed to some of the most prestigious health systems, including University of Arizona Medical Center : , University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Mayo Clinic : , University of California Medical Center San Francisco and University of Miami Jackson Hospital : . As early adopters of AIMS and thought leaders in the industry, Picis clients from several prominent medical centers are scheduled to present six sessions at ASA that focus on the selection, implementation and use of AIMS technology in driving clinical research and qualitative analysis.

A report by Millennium Research Group entitled, U.S. Markets for Acute Care Clinical Information Systems 2008, named Picis the industry market leader, with the largest number of clients using an electronic anesthesia information system to improve workflow in the operating room, while integrating with an operating room management system (ORMS).

Anesthesia Manager, part of the Picis CareSuite : ® family of high-acuity solutions, has been selected by 230 hospitals globally, including 170 sites in the United States. By automating the intraoperative and postoperative recovery anesthesia documentation, Anesthesia Manager provides a more complete, accurate and legible record that enables hospitals to enhance accountability and save both time and money. Picis perioperative solutions are designed to drive process improvements in patient throughput, provide proven device connectivity of the electronic patient record and interoperate with the major hospital information system (HIS) on the market.

According to Carlos M. Nunez, M.D., Chief Physician Executive of Picis, Anesthesia Manager is the most widely-distributed and used anesthesia system in the market for two reasons: “First, the Picis solution was engineered from the ground up with anesthesiologists in mind, so it enhances their unique workflow. Second, its wide adoption has allowed Picis to develop advanced features that our prestigious client base has demanded — such as decision support rules defined by the clinician, pro-fee billing and a perioperative dashboard — and that are essential today for all hospitals. This has led to high usability and acceptance of the system whether in a 100-OR multi-hospital setting or a community-based hospital automating five ORs.”

Recent hospitals selecting Picis Anesthesia Manager include:

- Virtua : — Virtua, the largest integrated delivery network in Southern New Jersey, has selected Picis perioperative and anesthesia software solutions for nine hospitals.

- New York/New Jersey VA Network : — The group of five medical centers selected Picis Preop Manager : , Anesthesia Manager : and PACU Manager : . These integrated solutions are designed to streamline clinician workflow, anesthesia documentation and continuity of care before, during and after surgical cases.

These facilities are among the 27 VA medical centers in 10 regions across the country using Picis high-acuity solutions.

- Sutter Health — The first anesthesia rollout within the 23- hospital Sutter Health system, the largest hospital network in California, is at California Pacific Medical Center, Sutter’s flagship hospital in San Francisco.
