2008-09-26 13:56:01 - The culinary competition to scoop the Italian Journalistic Gastronomic Award takes place in Rome on 1st and 7th October

Coming after the Venice Film Festival and just before the Rome Cinema Festival, Piatto d'Autore provides a mouthwatering interlude that combines movies and food.

entertaining live cooking competition, the 'chefs' will do battle for the I National Journalistic Gastronomic Award.
The theme of the 2008 edition is the link between films shot in the Lazio region by great directors and typical gastronomic products of that area. Each contestant will prepare a dish inspired by films of the calibre of 'Bread, love and dreams', 'Bellissima', 'Mister Max' and serve it with a local wine.
