Pia Aaltonen-Forsell, M.Soc.Sc. (born 1974), has been appointed Chief Financial
Officer of Vacon Plc and member of the company's Executive Management Team.

Pia Aaltonen-Forsell will join Vacon from Stora Enso, where she has held several
managing positions in finance and control including SVP Group Controller, and
her latest position as SVP Finance, IT and M&A, Building and Living Business
Area.

working in finance and control, and in management positions in a large listed
company will be a great asset to Vacon," says Vesa Laisi, Vacon's President and
CEO.

Vacon Plc's previous CFO, Eriikka Söderström, resigned to join KONE Corporation.
Söderström will continue at Vacon until   5 February 2013.

Pia Aaltonen-Forsell will join Vacon by 1 May 2013 at the latest.
