The purpose of

the conference is to generate new ideas and spread best practices in performance improvement and patient safety. Participants will build their knowledge of practical approaches and implementation strategies for high risk areas, and have an opportunity to share ideas with peers from like facilities.

“Our conferences always have a motivated audience and a productive dialogue on approaches to risk management and the provision of care,” said Jeanne Braun, Executive Vice President of PRI. “We’re confident that the sessions and presenters at this year’s conference will continue that tradition.”

In addition to break-out sessions on long term care, ambulatory care and acute care, the conference features a variety of compelling guest speakers.

- Howard S. Berliner, Sc.D., Professor and Chair, Health Policy and Management at SUNY Downstate School of Public Health, will speak on the current status of health care reform and what administrators need to watch for;
