2008-09-07 09:12:30 - Photo Art exhibition 'Life and Vision' by Dr. Ilse Maria Gibson will be on show from 18 September until 29 October 2008 at Mom Tri's Boathouse in Phuket

Dr. Ilse Maria Gibson is a full-time university lecturer on Computer and Business subjects but she still finds time to indulge in her early passions, photography and writing. Born in south Germany, she travelled and worked world-wide and lived in the United States and the United Kingdom for several years.

Since 2004 Ilse has been based in Phuket where she

teaches at Phuket's Prince of Songkla University. Phuket will miss this energetic, vivacious lady when she will take up a position as a university lecturer in China in November.

Phuket has provided Ilse with a treasure trove of subjects for photos which include shots of people, nature, sailing, buildings and interior design. Her interest in computer science and photography started her to experiment with photos using various graphic programmes. A frequently published freelancer, her work has appeared in several German magazines accompanying her articles about cuisine and travel in Malaysia and Thailand.

Mom Tri's Boathouse, Phuket Thailand, is a creation of famous Thai Architect and artist Mom Luang Tridhosyuth Devakul better known as Mom Tri. Built in 1989, it quickly became a favourite with discriminating visitors and appears on numerous lists of the world's best small hotels. The Boathouse has been distinguished since 2006 for three consecutive years with the first and only Wine Spectator 'Best of Award of Excellence' in the Kingdom of Thailand.
