Pexip, a global disruptor in scalable video conferencing technology, today announced it has appointed conferencing industry veteran, Graham Williams, as a member on the board of directors to help shape the company’s global expansion, ramping up its presence in Australia to fill the growing demand for scalable video conferencing solutions.
Williams was previously the managing director of iVision, which he grew to become a major force in video conferencing throughout Asia Pacific before its sale in 2011. After 27 years with iVision, Williams has built a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the video conferencing market, which he will leverage as an active board member to build Pexip’s presence in the Australian market.
“Over time, customers have become frustrated with hardware based
solutions that are expensive to purchase and maintain. This restricts enterprises’ ability to scale videoconferencing effectively. The current growth of videoconferencing usage inside enterprises is being driven by web based, iOS and Android applications that sit outside of the conference room and this growth is being further accelerated by the increasing adoption of “bring your own device” policies in many work places. This multi-point “bottleneck” has significantly limited enterprises from deploying scalable, cost effective video conferencing solutions to their users,” said Williams. “Pexip’s scalable, software based solution is capable of taking a 30 percent market share in the multipoint videoconferencing industry over the next three years.”
Pexip’s expansion into the Australian market encompasses a pure channel approach. Williams will oversee the Australian market adoption, ensuring that ideal partnerships are formed.
