Rocker TOM PETTY has reversed his decision to quit touring after proclaiming 2006 to be one of his most rewarding years on the road.
The FREE FALLIN' singer hinted at retirement in a Rolling Stone article last summer (06), but he's now adamant he'll continue to tour and has no plans to break up backing band THE HEARTBREAKERS.
He tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "You never know how things are going to turn out, and I didn't see this year coming. Maybe next year will be even better." Petty and The Heartbreakers' 30th anniversary tour last year (06) was one of the year's biggest live pulls and the group's 2006 album HIGHWAY COMPANION was recently nominated for two Grammy Awards.
