2013-02-22 11:23:41 - Staff at Peterborough-based medical devices company Coloplast (www.coloplast.com) have proven that they are leading the way with sustainability – the company has just earned itself a place on the prestigious ‘Global 100 list’ for the second year running.

In 2012 Coloplast ranked 84th on the list and has this year climbed to 67th place.

Sue Kernahan, Coloplast general manager, said: “We are delighted by this achievement. We work closely with our staff. It is thanks to their hard work that we are able to improve our sustainability while continuing to grow the company. We aim to achieve best practice in everything we do – and that includes corporate responsibility.”

The Global 100 (www.global100.org), now in its 9th year, is recognised as the world’s most credible corporate sustainability ranking.

To achieve its place on the list, Coloplast was screened according to its sustainability disclosure practices, financial health, product types and other indicators. Having passed the initial screening (which 4,000 companies

worldwide go through) Coloplast was then scored, relative to its same-sector peers, on a set of key performance indicators and was ranked 67th.
