SAN DIEGO, CA, November 10, 2009 – The mission of STANDUP FORKIDS is to help homeless and at-risk youth. Everyday homeless youth face obstacles that most of us cannot comprehend. Where will I have my next meal? When can I shower? Where will I sleep tonight? STANDUP FOR KIDS helps homeless youth tackle some of their everyday obstacles and work

towards a life off the streets.

Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay employees felt compelled to help the STANDUP FORKIDS cause and wanted to contribute some of the much needed items that the kids require for everyday living. Approximately 250 Holiday Inn on the Bay employees, family members and friends kicked off the holiday giving season by hosting a sock hop where employees brought socks, undergarments and backpacks for the kids. The outpouring of giving from the employees was overwhelming; several hotel laundry carts were full of donations from the Holiday Inn staff.
