“Our Winter Basketball League at
The Palo Alto Family YMCA exhibits high standards of ethics and sportsmanship while promoting the development of good character,” said Scott Glissmeyer, Executive Director of the Palo Alto Family YMCA. “The league is an excellent way for participants to not only learn and apply the fundamentals of basketball, such as passing, dribbling, teamwork, offense and defense, but it also is a great way for youth to begin to develop a physical activity routine.”
For those who want to hone their basketball skills before the winter league begins, the YMCA offers a fall basketball clinic, which starts November 7 and runs through December 5th on Saturdays from 4-5:45 p.m. For more information on the Palo Alto Family YMCA and the Winter Basketball League, please contact Jeremy Johnson at
