PÖYRY AWARDED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS PROJECT IN SWITZERLAND
Pöyry has been awarded the project and site engineering services
contract by the Swiss federal road office (ASTRA) for traffic
management systems in the Northern bypass in Zurich, Switzerland.
Pöyry's share of the assignment amounts to about EUR 1.7 million.
The scope of the work comprises project planning and onsite
engineering, project management and quality control, quality
assurance testing of materials and equipment, theoretical and
on-the-job training for the operator and inspection of the completed
works. Pöyry will provide the services in association with

The northern bypass of Zurich is a heavily used motorway with several

be implemented on a 23 km section within eight years.
