Service provider responsible for migration to new train travel information
system

Nieuwegein, 13 March 2013

Ordina today announces that ProRail has selected Ordina as one of its preferred
suppliers for the development and management of custom-made applications. The
framework agreement between the two parties has been signed for a minimum of six
years, with an option for four one-year extensions. Under the framework
agreement, ProRail has already awarded Ordina the contract for the migration to
and management of the new rail occupancy system (Spoorbezettingssysteem) SBG++.
Train traffic managers at major stations use this system to guide trains to the
right platforms. The contract for the migration to and the management of SBG++
has a value of around EUR 2 million. Ordina does not disclose any financial
details on the total value of
the framework agreement. The selection of Ordina as a ProRail preferred supplier boosts the company's position in the Industry market. "ProRail sets great store by a solid and professional relationship with our suppliers, and that goes for Ordina, too. We are confident that Ordina's know- how and expertise will contribute to a punctual and safe rail service," says Kees Bronner, Manager Treinreisinformatiesysteem (train travel information system) at ProRail. "ProRail deliberately chooses a limited number of strategic partners that collaborate with the company to optimise business critical systems," says Barend de Zoete, Director of Professional Services & Projects at Ordina. "These systems must not only operate in real-time, but also have to meet the highest performance standards. This requires an active and intensive cooperation between ProRail and its IT partners. We are proud that we were able to convince ProRail of our know-how, expertise and innovative strength and we are looking forward to, together with ProRail, make IT work for train travellers." # # # ABOUT ORDINA Ordina implements strategy in business processes and ICT systems.
