- Orange County Maintenance Contractors Dick Davis, 213-300-9904 The leading building maintenance companies serving Orange County continued to work for a negotiated agreement for a contract covering their janitorial employees in the County.
"We are disappointed that the union refused to approve our earlier proposal to provide workers with significant wage and benefit increases," said Dick Davis, chief negotiator for the Orange County Maintenance Contractors. "Nevertheless, we continue to work hard at the bargaining table and we remain hopeful of a resolution in the mutual best interest of workers, tenants, and building owners and managers. In the meantime, the contractors will continue to serve customers and clean buildings."
The union and the companies have agreed to resume negotiations
today at 10:00 a.m. The parties have made progress on several contract language issues, and hope to continue this progress today.
The maintenance contractor companies involved in the bargaining include: Able; ABM; One Source; IFS; Merchants; Universal; and DMS.
