Credit Union Times and RFG will co-host the free event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the following timely presentations: “How To Effectively Lend in a Recession,” “What Is the Quality of My Lending Portfolio?” and “The Latest Compliance Issues for Lenders.”

“We conducted our first such event — the Northeast Lending Forum — in May in New Jersey and it was a

great success,” said Tim Conners, marketing manager for IA Systems. “We hope to capture at our Midwest Lending Forum the same quality dialogue between financial institutions as we share our collective experiences.”


“As the economy continues to improve and consumer spending behavior approaches more normal levels, we see an opportunity for credit union loan growth. Particularly in auto lending with the pent-up demand for new cars,” offered Fabio Biasella, vice president and managing director of RFG’s strategic advisory services.

As with their first Lending Forum, the hosts have added an incentive for attending. “We understand travel budgets have been cut during these tough economic times; therefore, this event will be free,” added Santy.
