2013-03-08 13:11:09 - Shetland-based PJP Architects LLP has launched a brand new 'responsive' website, becoming one of the first architecture practices in the UK to have a website making use of innovative new techniques.
Responsive design allows websites to adapt, restyle and adjust automatically so that they look equally good on smart phones and tablets as on desktop and laptop computers. A responsive website allows for easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing and scrolling required, ultimately offering the best possible online experience.
PJP Architects understand that there has been a major shift in people’s browsing and consumption habits with the increasing use of mobile phones, tablets and more. Using this innovative design technique, visitors to the PJP site will notice and appreciate the ease of browsing, on any device. Their site is available at www.pjparchitects.co.uk.
The new website showcases PJP's extensive portfolio of past projects, and is focused on generating new
business from Shetland and far beyond.
Peter Johnson, PJP Architects’ managing director, said: “We need to keep on top of all the latest technologies and legislation for our own profession, and it is great to be at the forefront of developments in website design too.”
The site was designed and developed by digital marketing agency NB Communication Ltd. The company is based in Shetland and provides services to over 100 clients all around Scotland, as well as having a presence beyond the UK too.
NB Communication’s Marketing Officer, Kylie Wood, commented that NB was pleased to work with PJP Architects to develop a website that incorporates responsive design; this advanced technique will ensure that the site is a delight to browse and experience. She continued: “PJP Architects’ building designs are so modern and professional, it is great to see that they understand the importance and benefit of having a modern and professional website too.”
