(A), 12 A and 16 A with Gate Trigger Current (Igt) levels of 35 milliamps (mA) and 50 mA. The BTAxxxx series of devices are ideal for industrial and control applications where isolation voltage is critical and safety is a primary concern.

They add additional safety that comes from the very high isolation voltage of a fully internally isolated package and are a compliment to our recently released BTBxxx series of triacs."

Both the BTAxxx and non isolated equivalent, BTBxxx series, utilize the latest silicon and package designs that optimized die area and package construction improving device performance resulting in the release of high performance devices at a competitive price.

The new BTA08-600BW3G, BTA08-800BW3G, BTA12-600BW3G, BTA12-800BW3G, BTA16-600BW3G, BTA16-800BW3G, BTA08-600CW3G, BTA08-800CW3G, BTA12-600CW3G, BTA12-800CW3G, BTA16-600CW3G, BTA16-800CW3G triacs devices from ON Semiconductor provide best-in-class isolation performance, high Igt for snubberless designs, excellent dV/dt for improved noise immunity and three quadrant operation. Soon to be released product line expansion will include sensitive gate and four quadrant operation.
