Actor GARY OLDMAN has hinted he is close to quitting acting, because his love of the craft has "withered".
The 49-year-old's career has been boosted in recent years by roles in the Batman and Harry Potter franchises, but he reveals he turns down more roles that he accepts - and only works to fund his lifestyle.
The single father of three says, "I've had a great career and I'm very lucky to do what I do. But I've been doing it a long time, and you can get tired. You might say I want to change careers or to do something else." Oldman admits he is still tempted to return to his stage roots - but fears he has lost the passion: "I get misty-eyed about it, yeah. And I get offers. My love for acting... It's withered."
