2013-03-05 17:33:22 - Three Law Enforcement Agencies in Oklahoma Join Together to Gain Purchasing Power Through Innovative “eCitation As A Service” Offering from Saltus Technologies

Tulsa, Okla., March 5, 2013 – Saltus Technologies, a leading provider of innovative electronic ticketing systems for public safety, announced today that three Oklahoma law enforcement agencies have formed a consortium to take advantage of Saltus’ “digiTICKET as a Service” tiered pricing procurement option. The Fort Gibson, Porter and Wagoner Police Departments, along with any new members, will now realize the same value as larger agencies in implementing a customized eCitation solution. With zero upfront cost and a low monthly fee per device, these agencies will not only save money but will benefit from increased officer safety, productivity and the recovery of lost revenue.

digiTICKET allows police officers to use a handheld, tablet, or laptop-based ticket writer to scan a driver

license barcode and quickly generate municipal, county or state citations. The system is designed to reduce the amount of time needed for the officer to issue a ticket, eliminate data errors and reduce administrative costs.

“Being a small community with limited funds, the decision was easily made to use digiTICKET. Saving time and increasing the safety for my officers and the public through this unique equipment lease option just brings the whole package together,” stated Porter Police Chief, Darryl Jay. “Lowering costs further by allowing agencies to combine purchasing power really shows Saltus understands the dilemma that many city budgets face.”

Ft. Gibson Police Chief, James “Clint” Vernon, also said, “I believe the digiTICKET system will increase citizen and officer safety, while reducing cost to the town of Fort Gibson. The digiTICKET eCitation system eliminates lost revenue due to handwriting errors, incorrect court scheduling and other manual data-input ticket issues. Officer and citizen safety is of the utmost importance. The amount of time spent on the shoulder of the road during a traffic stop, directly affects the safety of both the officer and citizen. The time saved on traffic stops will allow our officers to spend more quality time in our neighborhoods. Safety for all."

digiTICKET has more than 2,000 end users in 11 U.S. states and has proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent while increasing revenue by reducing errors, improving productivity, and eliminating manual processes.
