Oil sticks to the outside of a specially formulated polyurethane closed-loop collector tube that snakes over and around debris. It is lifted out of the water and is drawn through scrapers that remove the oil. The clean tube is returned to the water surface to gather more oil. Tubes withstand temperatures up to 200o F., and will not fracture in freezing conditions. Designed with non-clogging, long-lasting components, the Model 6V unit runs unattended 24 hours a day, year-round, and is the most dependable, cost-effective and uncomplicated solution for removing oily wastes from water.
