successful completion of a clinical study on its branded ingredient Ocibest, a
standardized herbal extract of Ocimum sanctum (O. tenuiflorum) for stress
management.

The study has been published in the Journal of Evidence Based
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (Article ID 894509) and is titled “Efficacy of
an Extract of Ocimum tenuiflorum (OciBest) in the Management of General Stress: A
Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study.”
The study was conducted on 158 patients at different centers in Lucknow, India. Each
patient was given 1,200 mg of actives per day in divided doses for six weeks, after
which 14 symptoms of stress were assessed (forgetfulness, sexual problems of recent
origin, exhaustion, sleep problems, etc.) and the outcome was evaluated. The total
symptom score of Ocibest group were significantly reduced as compared to the placebo
group. It was concluded that OciBest significantly alleviates stress symptoms and is 39
percent more effective than the placebo in the management of

stress symptoms.
