2012-02-22 16:19:29 - Pin Master is a location bookmarking app that brings fresh ideas to the genre: It allows you
to save points of interest with your own custom fields and sync your collection with your friends. It's the only app that a group of people can use to collectively maintain a list of points of interest on the map and sync modifications in real time.
Functionality
Pin master is how google maps should be. What good is a map if you cannot pin a location on it? We have specifically made the map screen to offer more real estate than the actual google maps app by featuring a minimal translucent tab bar and shortcut buttons.
Usage
Use it in the country side for mountain biking, running, sailing, surfing, paragliding, anything really; you could even be a geologist fossil-hunting in the field. Use it in urban places for pretty much anything. To bookmark your favorite coffee store or restaurants, to navigate quickly to places, share meeting points, to prepare your next trip by saving the place as well as the places you should be visiting once there.
The possible uses are limitless.
Customization
Add any type of information to a pin. Go beyond titles and notes and assign any variable you need to known. For a restaurant add a gauge field for the view and a yes/no field for wifi. Or you could be a professional restaurant reviewer, no problem, add text fields for contact information, add wine quality, degree of cleanness, handicap access, parking facilities, staff manners, anything really.
Functionality
Search for a place you have stored in your library, by any variable of the custom fields you have assigned. If you cycle filter out all mountain trails that have steep uphill, if you surf select only medium wave spots, if you go out a lot filter places with hi BPM music. In other words find exactly what you want without having to go through your entire library.
