Nuveen Global Value Opportunities Fund (NYSE: JGV), a closed-end fund sponsored by Nuveen Investments, announced that Emily Alejos and Michael Hart have joined David Iben as members of the fund’s portfolio management team. Ms. Alejos and Mr. Hart are responsible for managing the fund’s investments in emerging market equity and debt securities, which may comprise up to 30% of the fund’s managed assets.
David Iben, Tradewinds’ CIO, has served as the fund’s portfolio manager since its inception. Prior to joining Tradewinds in 2006, Mr. Iben was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at NWQ Investment Management Company, LLC.
Emily Alejos has been a portfolio manager and senior consumer sector analyst at Tradewinds since 2007. Prior to joining Tradewinds, Ms.
Alejos was with
Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York, where she was a portfolio manager and analyst on the firm’s international focus team from 2004 to 2006.
Michael Hart has been a global securities analyst at Tradewinds since 2007 and a portfolio manager since 2008. Prior to joining Tradewinds, Mr. Hart was the chief executive of Hemisphere Asset Management, a global investment management firm he established in 2001.
